FEEL IT

Distortion drags through an opening portal that stretches and bends with each note. You plunge into the endless layers of this melody. Ellis in Transit steps into another dimension that swirls with vibrant colours and reverberation. The track encompasses change with the shoegazy style and morphing vocals. Feel It relays the story of a relationship crumbling as communication hits a wall. Feel It encompasses an otherworldly mood as the song takes you through the cosmos.

Toronto

as featured on 102.1 The Edge

With a shoegazey new single called Toronto, Ellis in Transit continue to weave different emotions and visuals into their discography. You are lulled into a soft and hazy hallway that begins to warp and your view becomes distorted. The band likens this song to “the struggles after moving from one country to another, suffering hardships in this new city and not knowing where you fit in” and “growing older wondering if you made the right decision to leave your old life behind in search of success.” Toronto is a trippy, vulnerable and reflective track.

Suffocating

as featured on 102.1 The Edge

As the baseline tentatively walks you into this single you aren’t sure what to expect. Soon enough, electricity crackles just before the vocals jump in. Ellis in Transit’s newest track Suffocating brings out conflict, power and an internal struggle. According to the group, the song portrays “a situation where you care deeply about someone’s well being even though they might not prioritize their own best interests and you’re trying desperately to get through to them, to your own detriment.” With the release of this single Ellis in Transit finds themselves sure of their footing and unique sound.

"There are moments in the “Hands Up” track where I feel like I could be listening to this in a blues bar from an old movie and moments where I could be in the middle of an arena concert with a ripped tee-shirt" - Ben Gibson of Dropout Entertainment.

Kill your Creator Review

Guitar strings reach out and wrap around you like a vine as Ellis in Transit's new track gets off to a ripping start. As you become entangled you feel the thorns cut deeper but you can't help but enjoy the struggle.

Kill Your Creator is from "the perspective on another, of this master manipulator who encourages doubt and insecurity in its listener in order to assert control and influence" says the band.

There is intense power behind the vocals as they echo through every layer of the track.

"From The Straight"

Cool Love Review

"Cool Love" is the latest release from Ellis in Transit.

It's an atmospheric track with a nostalgic style. Grungy guitars and heavy drums balance out the clean vocal melodies for a moody alt rock sound. If you're not yet familiar with this Hamilton-based band, "Cool Love" is a solid introduction, sure to make you want to dive right into their discography.
